Welcome

Proud to be an Open and Affirming Congregation
We support all God's children. No matter where you are in life's journey, you are welcome here.
Whether you plan to worship with us while traveling, or are seeking a new church home, know that you are always welcome at the Congregational Church on Mercer Island. We are a progressive Christian church and welcome all, no matter where you are on your faith journey toward greater knowledge and love of God. We want you to feel comfortable during your visit, and so it may help to know what to expect as a first-time visitor.

Appropriate dress is whatever you are comfortable wearing. We will greet you as you enter the front door. Hymnals and bulletins are available as you enter the church. Sit where you will feel most comfortable. For those with hearing difficulty, assisted-listening devices are available from the usher.

Sign up on our mailing list!

You will receive our weekly announcements e-mail and the monthly BRIDGE newsletter.

Children are always welcome at CCMI! We have a wonderful nursery with an adult attendant for newborns through preschool-aged children. Children in grades K through 5 participate in the worship service until they are invited forward for the Children’s message. They will then be released for Sunday school classes.

Our services are easy to follow. The order of worship is in the bulletin. We hope you will be enriched by our service, the sermon, and the worship music performed by our extraordinary choir. We serve Communion on the first Sunday of each month. You do not have to be a member of the United Church of Christ to partake. We invite everyone who is on the Christian path to receive communion.

Although general information is available on this site, please feel free to call or email the church office if you have questions.
