Volunteers Needed for Visitation Program at Monroe Prison: This visiting program reaches out to inmates with long sentences who have no other visitors. Our visits are social and friendly and happen twice a month on Friday afternoons. We carpool, and visit in pairs for an hour with one inmate and a second hour with another inmate. There are no preset agendas. We also need volunteers to go with us to visits in the Intensive Management Unit (solitary) on two Monday afternoons a month. Volunteers must complete a state application, some online instruction, and a three hour training at Monroe Correctional Complex. Contact Dale Sewall at dalesewall@gmail.com for more information or to explore your interest. Visiting as a guest is also available if you are considering this ministry.
