Bryan Cairns Memorial Service October 12th 2:00 p.m.

Led by Earth Ministry board members Rev. Marilyn Cornwell and Rev. Terry Teigen, and Earth Ministry member Dr. Francie Rutherford, our discussion will offer a process for navigating what the future holds. We’ll begin the work of equipping ourselves by naming our grief, seeing with new eyes, and taking steps to embody the active hope Macy and Johnstone envision. Please join us!

Alaska Suite A story of beauty, loss and hope Saturday November 2 7:30 p.m. The Alaska Suite features a five-piece chamber jazz ensemble performing the original music of Seattle pianist and composer Nelda Swiggett. But this is not just a concert. The performance engages the power of artistic expression — live music, spoken words, images and poetry — to connect audiences deeply and emotionally to the scientific realities of climate change. Ultimately a story of hope, the performance leaves audiences inspired to take action.

Weaving Baskets - Weaving Our Stories October 12 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Suggested donation is $50

Basket weaving is one of the oldest crafts known – but it is so much more than a cool craft! It is a wonderful way to connect the ordinary with the sacred as you notice the parallels with weaving and our life's journey. The act of weaving creates a space to share our stories and realize that we are connected - woven together in lots of different ways.Join Kaila Russell at Tolt Congregational Church in Carnation. No weaving experience is needed, just willing hands and heart. This workshop is an opportunity to learn more about yourself and experience your story in a profound way. You will also have a beautiful basket, woven by you, to remind you of this step on your journey.

The Sophia Way Luncheon October 15 12:00 p.m. (Registration open at 11:00 a.m.)
