We have received $3500 altogether in memory of Jane Marich, and with Jim’s enthusiastic support, we will be spending the money on some landscaping work to make the Memorial Garden area more beautiful. The quote for the work is just over $7000, and we will take the difference from church funds. But we wanted to let you know in case anyone else would like to make a gift in Jane’s memory.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY Thursday, September 5 10:30 a.m. Week 3 A 9-week Thursday morning women’s Bible study, God’s Promise: I Am With You, begins Thursday, September 5th at 10:30am. Nine women are registered with Jinny Sewall as facilitator. If you would like to join, please contact Jinny Sewall or 206-232-0299 so a study guide can be ordered.

Where'd You Go, Bernadette? is showing at Lincoln Square, Issaquah Cinnebarre and some Seattle theaters. Plan a day to go see this movie and share your reviews/opinions with Jim and Barb Miller at CCMI. Dessert is provided.

Global Climate Sign Making @ CCMI September 18 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. Sign making supplies will be provided.

Global Climate Sign Waving September 20 7:30 a.m. & 4 p.m. The Global Climate sign waving will be on the corner of SE 40th St. & Island Crest Way. Wear your green CCMI T-shirts.

Global Climate Vigil @ CCMI September 22 6 p.m. Drop in and light a candle to remember the world representatives gathering for the UN Summit in New York City.

Phil's Camino Friday, September 27 7 p.m. I hope you will be able to join me for a showing of the award-winning movie, Phil's Camino. CALVARY: THE HILL (in Capital Hill) 1107 E Howell St, Seattle, WA 98122 Phil is a friend of mine who built a mini-Camino in his backyard in Vashon when he was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, too sick to go to Spain.
