CCMI Events in Upcoming Weeks

Season of Invitation

May 5 – June 9

Our new worship series begins on May 5 [ Link].

We are asking everyone to think about whom they might invite to join us for these six Sundays. It’s normal to feel awkward about inviting someone to church. Maybe you can’t think of anybody. Ask God to bring someone to mind, and then push through the awkwardness. Here’s what we suggest.

  1. Look at your calendar and figure out which Sundays you will be able to attend.

  2. Start making a list of people to invite: singers to join our choir, climate enthusiasts to help us consider our theme, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, friends from retirement communities who aren’t already connected with a church.

  3. By Friday, put the list in priority order and add phone numbers.

  4. Over next weekend, or by Monday the 29th at the latest, start calling people. Remember that we are hoping they will attend all six Sundays. Offer to pick them up, or invite them to lunch afterwards. Keep calling until somebody says yes.
