Season of Invitation May 5 – June 9 Who do you know who would love CCMI if they experienced our worship for several weeks? Someone who loves good music, would embrace our inclusive welcome, would be inspired by our progressive theology, by our support of each person’s spiritual journey, by Roberta’s preaching? For six Sundays after Easter (May 5 - June 9) we want to make a special effort to share our congregational life and worship with people in our network of friends and acquaintances who would love our community and our worship if they experienced it not once, but several times. The worship theme will be “Seize hope: a spirituality for what’s coming.” Who do you know who is environmentally aware and hungry to belong to a community of support, celebration, and meaningful climate action?

Invite them to attend for all or as many Sundays as they can. Offer to pick them up or meet them at church. Maybe take them to lunch a couple of times after church to talk about the sermon and let them ask questions.

A one-time invitation to visit on “Friendship Sunday” seldom leads anyone to join a church. But a genuinely felt invitation to the church you love, along with your supportive friendship during worship, can be the beginning of a great gift to those you invite, and to the future of CCMI.

Save the date! Our Choir Benefit Dinner is coming up soon! May 11, Saturday, so mark your calendar. This year we're doing something a little different... In honor of our magnificent Choir, we - the congregation - will be doing the busy work to support them in doing what they do best: sing and perform.

Would you like to prepare and bring a tasty appetizer to pass before dinner? Or, put on your chef's hat and whip up a decadent dessert (store-bought is okay, as long as it is high quality and worthy of our famous Dessert Dash). Cooking not your thing? We need volunteers to set up tables, decorate, serve food family-style and clean up afterwards. Plus, we're looking for some inviting "experiences" for our Silent Auction (a weekend getaway, a nice dinner for 6-8 guests, a salmon fishing excursion, etc.), so if you have one to share, please let us know!

The volunteer sign-up sheets are now posted on the bulletin board. Please pick your team(s), sign up and show your support! Ticket sales will be after worship. Tickets are reduced to $50 this year
