Headlights?

The first sign off exit 7A reads “Headlights?” Every time I see it I wonder, is it asking me if my headlights are on or off? It seems like a sign that no longer pertains to the technology of modern cars whose lights shut off automatically or state law mandating motorcycles keep them on. Does God favor one religion over another?

People often ask me if God favors one religion over another. In my response I ask them a question: there are over 100 species of roses in the world, which one is the most favored? It is a question that can not be answered because there is no one species of roses that everyone likes. I fall into the ranks of those who do not even like roses. My favorite flower is the Iris, the dark blue/purple variety. In the Iris world there are 160 varieties and colors. More >>

Of Muslims and Mosques

On December 7, 1941 the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. I cannot begin to imagine the horror and carnage witnessed by the service personnel and Hawaiian natives. Two thousand four hundred and two service men lost their lives that day. One thousand two hundred and two were seriously injured. The day is etched into our memories and honored every year. The USS Arizona remains in her watery grave as a memorial and testament to the lives lost. More >>
